Chris has been practicing law since 2015 with a focus on litigation and personal injury. In his personal injury practice, Chris has resolved hundreds of cases in prelitigation and litigation obtaining high value recoveries for his clients. His extensive experience in handling matters from their inception all the way through resolution, whether by trial or settlement, brings a level of experience in the courtroom and the path to trial held by few others at this stage in his career. In the courtroom, he is a zealous advocate for his clients. Outside of the courtroom, he takes a client-centric approach in handling each matter according to its unique set of circumstances; tailoring his strategy to meet client objectives efficiently and expeditiously.

Chris graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Political Science in 2012 and from the Texas Tech School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2015. He also graduated from Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business with an M.B.A. in 2015. In 2019, he achieved a Texas Motor Vehicle Accident Top 100 Verdict at trial. In his free time, Chris is an avid guitar player who enjoys playing blues and jazz.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Representative Personal Injury Matters

• Represented the victim of a “low impact” rear-end car wreck where a young woman with no prior history of injury became a surgical candidate for her neck and back as a result. The tortfeasor’s insurance carrier immediately sent the claim to its special investigation unit and forced the case to trial. At trial, the court struck nearly fifteen pages of deposition cross-examination of the Plaintiff’s treating expert doctor. Despite the Defendant contesting the reasonableness of Plaintiff’s medical bills, the jury awarded full damages for past medical expenses. The jury also awarded future medical expenses, past and future pain and mental anguish, and past and future physical impairment. The total verdict exceeded the tortfeasor’s policy limits by over fifty percent. The Plaintiff collected the entire excess judgment plus pre-judgment interest and taxable court costs.
• Represented the victim of an ATV rollover where a young man sustained severe fractures to his leg. Plaintiff successfully litigated his claim against the driver and the driver’s homeowner’s insurance carrier resolved the claim for the full policy limits.
• Represented the mother in the wrongful death of her son as the result of a car wreck. The tortfeasor’s insurance carrier denied coverage due to a signed named-driver policy exclusion. After nearly a year of litigation, Plaintiff put the carrier on notice of potential bad-faith and DTPA claims, and the carrier resolved the case within policy limits.
