Automotive Defect Lawyers Helping Victims Nationwide and Across Texas including Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio

Over the years, new vehicles have begun to include high-tech safety systems and anti-collision devices, all promising the highest quality in safety. How can I find out if my vehicle has an open recall?

Oftentimes, it’s hard to tell whether a vehicle has a defect.  The best way to know is by checking for any recalls that may have been issued. You can find out if your vehicle has an open recall by searching your car’s unique 17-character vehicle identification number (VIN) on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s recall page, at www.nhtsa.gov/recalls. This search will show you information on any unrepaired vehicle affected by a safety recall in the past 15 calendar years.
